What To See and Do: Helpful Guide To Seeing The Sights Of Las Vegas

When you’ve never been to Las Vegas before, the entire trip can seem very exhilarating. After all, Las Vegas is one city in the world that just does not sleep; there’s so much activity to take part in… so much to see. Because of it, some people have no real idea where to start in this wondrous place. They may ask what hotel should they stay in and what attraction should they check out first?

How To Get Around Las Vegas – Should Rent A Car Or Take A Cab? It Depends On You

Most likely, you’ll be coming in by airplane and if you are, you’ll fly into McCarren International Airport. There’s really no need to rent a car since once you get to the strip, you’ll stay on it. You can either walk the Las Vegas strip or take a cab. Keep in mind that if you decide to leave the strip (not recommended for first-timers) then you may want to rent a vehicle especially if you want to see Hoover Dam or Red Rock Canyon. With no car, you don’t have to contend with traffic or parking; nor do you need to deal with the hassle that comes from renting the vehicle.

What Hotel To Stay In While Visiting The City

Now you may wonder where you should stay when you get to Las Vegas. Excellent question since there are so many great hotels to stay in. This is going to depend on you and your price range. Can afford something really luxurious or something cheap? Is there a middle ground that you can afford?

Are you able to afford the high end hotels? If so, then consider the following ones to check into during your Las Vegas trip:

- Bellagio hotel

- Encore hotel

- Wynn hotel

Would you rather stay somewhere cheap so that your money can be spent elsewhere on your Las Vegas trip? If so, then you’ll want to stay in one of the following hotels:

- Circus Circus
- Excalibur
- Imperial Palace

Don’t want cheap but can’t afford really ritzy hotels? Consider staying in the following hotels:

- Luxor

- MGM Grand

- Mirage

Would you rather stay in a fun hotel regardless of the price? Then consider:

- Mandalay Bay, Planet Hollywood or of course – the Caesars Palace hotel in Vegas.

Just remember that every hotel has its pros and its cons but by doing some research before your vacation, you can find the hotel that’s most suitable for you and your needs.

Here’s an added bonus to not having to rent a car… the majority of the hotels are located in walking distance of one another especially if you decide to rent a room from a hotel in the middle of the strip. Say you decide to stay in Mandalay Bay but want to see a show at Wynn Hotel, you’ll need to catch a cab. Once you’ve gotten to Las Vegas, you’ll know what hotels are within walking distance and which ones you’ll need a ride to.

Drinking In Las Vegas

Many people have heard that drinking is free; it is… so long as you’re gambling. Bear in mind that drinking can be an expensive habit in Las Vegas. If you want to save money, then locate yourself a bar that’s got a video poker machine. If you desire to drink, put in $10 and play slowly…drinks will be free. Here’s something you may not have known: Las Vegas is one but of a few cities that allow persons to walk down the street with an open liquor bottle.

Don’t Want To Gamble: There’s Still Fun To Be Had

Sometimes you want to do more than just gamble and Las Vegas can still give this to you. You can enjoy any one of the numerous shows, restaurants, shopping and clubs the city has to offer. Enjoy Las Vegas as much as possible, seeing as many casinos that you can, as each one has a different theme. Have fun at a show whether it’s a traditional Vegas showgirl routine, musical or comedy. Treat yourself to a fancy restaurant; Las Vegas tends to employ the best chefs in the world.

Las Vegas will be everything you want to experience and remember… all you have to do is take part in it.
