This route, while interesting, only touches on a small part of Lower Normandy (a few towns on the Seine and along the coast). There is so much more to it - splendid châteaux, wonderful gardens to visit, picturesque medieval architecture in hundreds of small towns and villages, beautiful 'bocage' countryside of hedgerows and woodland, magnificent forests, dozens of small rivers - I could go on!
