Hilton Head, South Carolina is a wonderful place to bring your family. Hilton Head Island offers a family vacation that you will never forget for kids of all ages. There is so much fun stuff that you can do, you won’t want to go to bed. And each day you spend on the Island is different. It’s a very fun place to be. If you are looking for water adventures, then Hilton Head marinas can offer these and other activities for your enjoyment. Wave runners, kayaking, fishing charters, dolphin cruises, parasailing, and sailing charters just to mention a few. Other activities are H2O Sports located in the Sea Pines Plantation. H2O has licensed and trained boat captains. They offer a large wave riding area. This is a fun place to take your family.

Water fun Park, is the Island’s water park. It has a great kid area, with waterslides and miniature golf. There are many miniature golf courses all over the Island. Adventure Cove has two miniature golf courses, and also an arcade that your family will love. Pirates Island Adventure Golf sets near Palmetto Dunes and Legendary Golf is near the entrance of Long Cove. Water Fun Park has miniature golf and three waterslides as well and sets off of South Forest Beach. A fun Roller Blade and Skate Park is near the Crossings Park off Palmetto Bay Road. And nearby are a fun playground, a soccer field, and several basketball courts. There is currently no supervision at this area; it was designed as a safe and fun place. And if you are looking for calmer ways to relax with your family take a nice stroll through one of the many nature preserves located the Island in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

The Coastal Discovery Museum has guided nature walks through most of the year. Tour the museum and discover the culture and history of the Island. Call ahead for the times of the tours and schedules. Located at the museum is also the Hilton Head Island Welcome Center. That will allow you to learn about all the other places and happenings going on around the Island. The Sandbox is a hands on interactive museum that has unique entertaining, and educational play areas for your children to explore. There is a general admission for adults and children over two years old.

You can rent bicycles and ride over miles of paved trails or along the coastline. This is a great way to see and explore the Island and all the nature that it offers. There are two different companies on the Island that offer a variety of sizes. They pickup and deliver at no extra charge. These companies are Island Cruisers and Peddling Pelican Bike Rentals.  If you like riding horses, there are many stables that offer horseback riding along the scenic trails in Hilton Head, South Carolina. One of these stables even has a petting zoo and pony rides.

There are local singers that entertain and sing to the kids at the Salty Dog Cafe. They often invite kids to sing and dance along with them. And give prizes for contest winners.
This is great fun for your kids. Fireworks take place on Tuesday nights along with shopping and fun at the Shelter Cove Marina. There are many staff members to help you plan your trip and fun when visiting Hilton Head, South Carolina.
