Egypt holidays offer incredible underwater delights

When people think of Egypt holidays their minds turn immediately to the majestic pyramids, Sphinx and other ancient monuments. A particular bonus for divers is the close proximity of the coral reefs to the shoreline. At Sharm al Sheikh it extends only ten meters away from the land at a depth of only one meter, before plunging deep towards the sea bed, sometimes down for an incredible 800 meters. Around 200 reef species are supported by the Red Sea offering huge variety.

Divers here are treated to the full spectrum of colours from some amazingly bright, patterned fish. Amongst the thousands of breeds to be seen is the giant puffer fish, the blue spotted ray and the ever-popular clown fish. The climate also means that Egypt holidays are an all year round possibility.

Egypt is within easy reach for most travelers with direct flights from many UK city airports to several destinations throughout the country.
