As a sunshine destination with over forty years experience of catering to tourists Lanzarote offers a wide choice of accommodation. From self-catering apartments through to five star hotels.
In total, there are five top of the range hotels to choose from, for those seeking a little luxury and personal pampering. Each of these establishments has its own spa, offering massages and beauty treatments to help guests unwind.
The Gran Melia Salinas is the oldest of these luxury hotels in Lanzarote and can be found in the resort of Costa Teguise. Created in the 1970’s, each room and suite has a view of the sea, with many overlooking the verdant tropical gardens that surround the building. It also has a lush internal garden with a stream and mature palm trees. But perhaps its best feature is the lagoon-style swimming pool, created by César Manrique, the island born artist and architect whose work has so shaped Lanzarote.
Located in the exclusive millionaire’s marina of Puerto Calero, the five star Hesperia Hotel is built on a grand scale. With the impressive entrance lobby giving some indication of the quality of this establishment. It strives to deliver a greater range of services than any other hotel on the island and is the only hotel on the island that at present welcomes canine pets as well as human guests!
There are two five star hotels in Playa Blanca, the newest resort on Lanzarote located in the south of the island. One of which is the Princesa Yaiza, which looks out over the beach at Playa Dorada towards the neighboring island of Fuerteventura. And is particularly popular with families, due to its excellent facilities for children, although it has developed numerous packages for a wide variety of guests.

The other five star hotel in Playa Blanca is the Gran Melia Volcan
. Created along the lines of a Canarian village, this spacious accommodation has its own manmade volcano by the front entrance. With several on-site restaurants, a spa, swimming pools and sports facilities there is plenty to keep guests entertained.
The final five star hotel on Lanzarote is the Gran Hotel in Arrecife. Situated by the town’s beach at Playa del Reducto, the Gran Hotel is the only high-rise building on the whole of the island. Giving it fantastic views from its suites and the restaurant that is on one of the top floors. The hotel has an elevated swimming pool as well, with a teak sun deck overlooking the streets below. It has been stylishly furnished in a modern style to create a great city-break destination.

Situated in the north of the Lanazarote Island, Gran Meliá Salinas, a leading luxury Lanzarotenian hotel, is in close proximity to the architecturally historical capital of Teguise, as well as Arrecife airport, Jameos del Agua, and Cueva de los Verdes.
